The Hilo Farmers Market covers half a block at the corner of Mamo Street and Kamehameha Avenue, with 150+ vendors setting up on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 7 AM to 3 PM. Market @ the Mill in Mountain View

The Market @ the Mill runs every Saturday at the Hilo Coffee Mill farm on Volcano Road, 13 miles from Hilo. All vendors carry products grown or processed on Big Island farms, and fresh cooked breakfasts are prepared on an outdoor griddle each week.

Keaʻau Village Farmers Market – appears closed

Status (June 2026): On our last  drive-by (June 2026) the market at the Shipman industrial complex in Keaʻau had disappeared. We’re leaving this note up because the market was listed in a lot of places; if you’ve seen it operating recently, let us know.

Makuʻu Farmers Market (Pahoa)

The Makuʻu Farmers Market draws more than 3,000 visitors on Sunday mornings to its lot on the Keaʻau-Pāhoa Highway bypass road. With 173+ vendors across 5 acres, the stall mix covers produce and food alongside crafts, plants, jewelry, clothing, books, and records.

Live music and a small food court make it worth building a Sunday morning around if you are anywhere in the Puna district.

Pāhoa Community Farmers Market

The Pāhoa Community Farmers Market is a small Sunday morning market near the Pāhoa skate park. About 20 vendors set up at 15-3003 Kauhele Street from 8 AM to noon.

Kinoole Farmers Market (Hilo)

The Kinoole Farmers Market at 1990 Kinoole Street enforces a strict 100% Hawaiian-grown policy: no imported goods. Saturday hours are 6:30 AM to noon. Tropical fruit, plants, and local produce sell out well before the close, so plan to arrive in the first hour.

Panaʻewa Hawaiian Home Lands Farmers Market (Hilo)

The Panaʻewa Hawaiian Home Lands Farmers Market runs Saturday mornings on land leased from the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands along Railroad Avenue, directly across from the Home Depot parking lot. Hours are 6 AM to 10 AM.

If you are shopping at the nearby Walmart or Home Depot, the market makes a practical add-on for local produce and Hawaiian-grown goods.

Railroad Farmers Market (Hilo)

The Railroad Market runs every Sunday from 10 AM to 3 PM at the corner of Railroad Avenue and East Kahaopea Street in Hilo, a short distance from Prince Kuhio Plaza. Vendors sell produce, prepared food, handmade crafts, and artisan goods.

The Hilo Town (Friday Night) Market

The Hilo Town Market runs Friday evenings at 69 Waianuenue Avenue from 5 PM to 8 PM, with live music continuing until midnight. It is located near The Temple and Jackie Rey’s, across the street from Mo’s Fish and Chips.

Kaimū Farmers Market

The Kaimū Farmers Market draws 60+ vendors and more than 1,400 visitors to Kaimū Beach Park every Saturday from 8 AM to noon. It sits about 40 miles south of Hilo on the southeast coast road, in the Puna district’s most agricultural stretch.

EBT/SNAP is accepted at most eligible vendors through a market scrip system. If you are heading down the coast toward Kalapana or any of the black-sand beaches, this makes a practical first stop on a Saturday morning.

The Online Farm-to-Car Market in Keaʻau

This is a weekly virtual farmers market with an online shopping platform where consumers can purchase local produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, baked goods, and value-added products. Note that a $2 pickup fee will be added to your order, and that there is a $25 minimum for all orders.

• Directions: Pickup is at 3 locations: 355 Kinoʻole Street (Hilo),  16-492 Old Volcano Rd (Keaʻau), and 28-1099 Old Māmalahoa Hwy (Pepeʻekeo)
