Waimea’s Farmers Markets: 3 on Saturday, 1 on Wednesday

By Gerrit van der Plas | updated August 5, 2026 (What changed?)

Three separate farmers markets run on Saturday mornings in Waimea: Waimea Community Market at Parker School, Kamuela Farmers Market at Pukalani Stables, and Kuhio Hale Farmers Market. All three open at 7:30am. Wednesday visitors have a fourth option: the Pukalani Midweek Market at Pukalani Stables, 8:30am to 1pm.

The Saturday overlap is the practical upside. The three markets are close enough to visit two in a morning. Start with Waimea Community Market: wood-fired stone oven bread goes fast. Kamuela Farmers Market sits on the Parker Ranch grounds at Pukalani Stables, with free Paniolo Heritage Museum entry on Saturdays.

You can also buy farm-fresh produce at the Kekela Farm Stand on Tuesdays at their farm and on Saturdays at the Waimea Community Market.

Market Hours and Locations

These are the five active markets in the Waimea area on the Big Island’s north coast. The Waimea Community and Kamuela markets are the two largest on Saturdays; Kuhio Hale is smaller but conveniently timed to combine with either.

Waimea Community Market

The Waimea Community Market runs every Saturday from 7:30am to noon in front of Parker School (65-1224 Lindsey Road) in the center of Waimea. Vendor stalls surround a grassy area with picnic tables. The prepared food section is the main draw: dishes from working chefs and wood-fired stone oven bread that goes fast.

The market is your best choice for freshly prepared hot food. Bread from the wood-fired stone oven sells out early, and prepared dishes from top chefs round out the food options. One vendor was sous chef at Mauna Kea Beach Hotel for 12 years.

More info on the Waimea Community Market website.

Kamuela Farmers Market at Pukalani Stables

Kamuela Farmers Market runs every Saturday 7:30am to 1pm at the Parker Ranch’s Pukalani Stables, 67-139 Pukalani Road. The ranch setting adds something most markets don’t have: live music every Saturday, leashed pets welcome, and free admission to the Paniolo Heritage Museum next door.

You can find fresh locally grown produce, trees, plants, cut flowers, a variety of prepared foods, coffee, fresh popcorn, hand crafted wood items, gluten free baked goods, hand crafted soaps and scents, and local dried fruit.

More info on the Kamuela Farmers Market website.

Kuhio Hale Farmers Market

Kuhio Hale Farmers Market runs every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Kuhio Hale in Waimea (64-756 Māmalahoa Highway). The first Saturday of each month is Vintage Saturday, which adds cultural items to the usual lineup.

Most vendors are local farmers. Much of the produce is harvested the day before or the morning of the market, and more than half the stalls belong to growers rather than resellers. You’ll find fresh organic produce, homemade foods, and handcrafted products.

More information on the Kuhio Hale Farmers Market website.

Pukalani Midweek Market

The Pukalani Midweek Market runs every Wednesday from 8:30am to 1:30pm at the Pukalani Stables, 67-139 Pukalani Road. With 35 to 40 vendors, it is the largest market in the Waimea area by vendor count and the right choice for visitors who cannot make Saturday mornings.

More information at the Pukalani Midweek Market website.

Waikoloa Community Market

The Waikoloa Community Market runs on the first Saturday of each month, 9am to 1pm, at the Waikoloa Stables (68-1936 Waikoloa Road). It is about 20 minutes from Waimea in Waikoloa Village.

Waikoloa Markets sells island-grown produce and locally made goods. The market includes a community tent with rotating activities: chef demonstrations, classes, keiki activities, and presentations from local organizations.

More information at the Waikoloa Markets website.

Kekela Farm Stand

Kekela Farm runs a direct farm-to-buyer stand: only farm-fresh produce, no other vendors.

They are open on Tuesday between 2:00 PM and 5:00 pm and on Saturday between 8 AM and noon at the farm (64-604 Mana Road).

More info on the Kekela farm website.
