On Saturday mornings, more than 100 vendors (as of October 2026) set up at the Upcountry Farmers Market in Kulamalu Town Center, 7 am – 11 am. It’s the market we’d plan a Maui Saturday around. Elsewhere, Kīhei has a market every weekday, the Nāpili market sets up three mornings a week, Queen Kaʻahumanu Center in Kahului has one on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and Hāna’s runs on Friday afternoons. Maui has no weekly evening farmers market.
This page is for visitors looking for the market nearest where they’re staying, on a day they’re free. For evenings, there’s the weekly Maui Sunday Market in Kahului, mostly food and crafts, and three monthly events: Wailuku on the first Friday, Kīhei on the fourth Friday and Wailea Village on the third Thursday.

Nāpili Farmers Market sets up on Honoapiʻilani Highway in Nāpili on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Upcountry Farmers Markets
Upcountry has one market in the finder: Upcountry Farmers Market, every Saturday morning near the football fields at Kulamalu Town Center. Its address is 55 Kiopaa Street, which the market's own site lists as Makawao and other listings give as Pukalani or Kula. Its stalls sell fruit and vegetables, tropical flowers, fresh fish, baked goods and crafts. Its website has a vendor map for finding a stall again.
The markets in this region are listed below. For more detail on vendors, parking, and what to expect at each one, see Maui farm tours and food tours.

East Maui Farmers Markets

Night markets and monthly town parties
In the evening, Maui’s options are the weekly Maui Sunday Market in Kahului and three monthly events: Friday town parties in Wailuku and Kīhei, and a Thursday sunset market in Wailea Village. The Sunday market and the two Friday town parties sell food and locally made goods, so buy fruit and vegetables at a morning market.
The Maui Sunday Market is every Sunday, 4 pm – 8 pm, in the Kahului Shopping Center parking lot. The Maui Food Technology Center organizes it. Admission is free, and there’s live entertainment alongside the food and locally made products.
The Friday town parties run 6 pm – 9 pm. Wailuku First Friday runs along Market Street on the first Friday of the month with Maui-made goods and local food for sale, and the street closes to cars at 5:30 pm. Kīhei 4th Friday Town Party sets up at Azeka Shopping Center Mauka on South Kīhei Road on the fourth Friday, with food booths and food trucks next to art and craft stalls.
Wailea Village Sunset Market sets up on the third Thursday of the month, 4 pm – 7 pm, in the same courtyard as the Tuesday-morning farmers market.
West Maui markets since the 2023 fire
The August 2023 fire burned the center of Lahaina, and as of October 2026 the finder lists no farmers market in Lahaina town. Front Street reopened to cars on August 1, 2026.
Nāpili Farmers Market reopened on March 2, 2024, and as of October 2026 sets up Monday, Wednesday and Saturday, 8 am – noon. Launiupoko, south of the burned area, is the only other West Maui market in the finder.
Maui farmers market questions
Saturday has the most markets open, six of the 15 in the finder. Market names in these answers link to their listings, with the address and the organizer’s page.
Q: Which Maui farmers market is closest to where I’m staying?
South Maui, from Kīhei to Wailea, has a market every day except Sunday, and the Farmers’ Market of Maui in Kīhei is open every weekday. On the west side, the Nāpili market sets up Monday, Wednesday and Saturday mornings. Kahului has the Saturday swap meet and the Queen Kaʻahumanu Center market on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Upcountry has one market, on Saturday morning, and Hāna has one, on Friday afternoon.
Q: What’s open on a Sunday or a weekday?
On Sunday the finder has one listing, the Maui Sunday Market in Kahului, 4 pm – 8 pm, an evening market that’s mostly food and crafts. No farmers market opens on a Sunday. Weekdays have more: the Kīhei market runs Monday through Friday, Queen Kaʻahumanu Center on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, Wailea Village on Tuesday morning, South Maui Gardens on Thursday morning, Nāpili on Monday and Wednesday mornings and Hāna on Friday afternoon. If you’re starting late, the Kīhei and Queen Kaʻahumanu Center markets stay open until 4 pm.
Q: Is the Maui Swap Meet a farmers market?
Partly. The Maui Swap Meet has a section of island-grown produce and tropical fruit among the craft and food booths, every Saturday, 7 am – 1 pm. Some listings give a 6 am start; the swap meet’s Facebook page says 7 am. For more produce, go to the Upcountry Farmers Market the same morning, before it closes at 11 am.
Q: Does the Upcountry Farmers Market run until noon?
No. The Upcountry Farmers Market’s own site gives Saturdays, 7 am – 11 am. Listings that say noon are out of date.
Q: Can I take market fruit home to the mainland?
Mostly no. The USDA restricts most fresh fruit and vegetables going from Hawaiʻi to the mainland or Alaska, and you must show all food and plant items to the USDA inspector at the airport before you fly. Whole pineapple and coconut are allowed after inspection, and so are roasted or green coffee beans. Other fresh fruit can travel only if a USDA-approved facility treated it and packed it in sealed, stamped boxes, so eat your market fruit on Maui. The USDA page for travelers leaving Hawaiʻi lists the full rules.
Q: Does the Open today button show holiday and weather closures?
No. The button goes by each market’s regular weekly or monthly schedule, so holiday closures and weather cancellations don’t show. The day before you go, check the market’s own website or social page, linked on its card where one exists.
We checked each market against its own website, Facebook page or event calendar where one exists, plus community-calendar and recent event listings and Google Maps, and re-checked hours and locations in October 2026.
