Turtle Canyon is known for the large numbers of sea turtles that float above the reef while the reef fish swim around them and clean their shells. When the turtles come up to breath they can even be seen by spectators relaxing on the boat! The reef itself is around 20 to 45 feet deep, which is a little deep for snorkelers; however, the turtles are the stars of the show here, and they come up to the shallows and swim among people without a care.

About Living Ocean Tours

What sets Living Ocean Tours trips apart from other snorkeling providers in Waikiki is the knowledge of their crew for the local marine life and their passion for teaching guests how to get comfortable snorkeling while respecting our local environment. They have about a 95% success rate at finding the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles on their snorkeling trips, but you will enjoy observing and learning about many more of our local species of tropical fish, many of which are found only in Hawaiian waters.
