Tour Summary: The only tour on Oʻahu where you drive your own four-wheel ATV, not a side-by-side or a ride-along. You loop a working oceanfront farm in Waialua, feed the goats, then plant a native shoreline plant.
You drive your own quad along the farm's dirt trails, with the ocean and Waialua's fields in view. 
Each rider gets their own quad. The tour lines up along the Waialua shore at the end of the ride. The ride is a loop around the working farm with one stretch along the rocky Waialua shore. Plan to get muddy. Riders come off the quads dirty, so bring a change of clothes. The tour ends back along the coast, a good spot for a group photo at golden hour. A stop along the shore, one of the ocean views on the farm loop. The trail crosses a raised dirt causeway with water on both sides. Everyone drives their own quad, including first-timers, at a slow, capped speed.

Important: Minimum age to ride is 8 as a passenger; you can drive your own ATV from age 12 (medium, up to 160 lb) or 16 (large, up to 420 lb), and covered shoes and a helmet (provided) are required.

This is the only tour on Oʻahu where you drive your own four-wheel ATV. On every other “ATV” tour here, you ride in a two-seat side-by-side or on the back of a machine someone else steers. You get your own quad and take it around 67 oceanfront acres of a working farm in Waialua, out on Oʻahu’s North Shore.
Feeding the goats and planting a native shoreline plant
You spend most of the hour off the quad. You stop to meet the farm animals, goats, sheep, cows, pigs and chickens, and you can feed them; the goats crowd right up to the fence when the feed comes out. You also choose a native Hawaiian shoreline plant and put it in the ground to help restore the dunes, while the guides talk about Waialua’s history as you go.
A slow, family-paced ride at about 5 mph
The quads are capped at about 5 mph the whole way, and the one “faster” stretch is a single short curvy straight, not an open track. Kids ride along from age 8 and drive their own ATV from 12. If you’ve ridden ATVs before, it will feel too tame. About 45 minutes of the hour is ride time and the rest is stops,.
This is a working-farm loop with one stretch by the ocean, not a beach ride. Animal feed and photos each cost extra, as does a head sock if you want one.
Getting to the Waialua farm and what to wear
Tours run 1 hour and start throughout the day, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. There’s no hotel pickup, so you drive to the Waialua farm (about an hour from Waikīkī) and arrive 30 minutes before your start time. A helmet is provided and required, and so are covered shoes. You come off the quad muddy, so wear old clothes and bring a towel and a change of clothes. Leave backpacks and bulky camera gear off the quad; the rest of the meeting details come with your confirmation, and each driver pays $125.
We think the high rating comes from the novelty of driving your own quad, the goats at the feeding stop, and guides who put first-timers at ease. Reviewers complain most about the pace: at about 5 mph, anyone who came for speed leaves disappointed. If someone in your group would rather not drive, they can ride along as a passenger instead.
